Hi, I’m Nat, a 45-year-old mom of four with a passion for natural living, fitness, and inspiring others to embrace a healthier lifestyle. My journey has taken me across continents, through challenges, and into a holistic approach to fitness and well-being.
Through ThriveFit NATurally, my goal is to inspire others to embrace a healthier, more holistic approach to life and fitness. In addition to sharing my personal fitness journey, I offer personalized coaching to help you reach your health and fitness goals. I provide both online and in-person coaching. My approach is holistic, focusing on natural methods, sustainable fitness, and tailored advice to suit your individual needs. Together, we’ll work to transform your body and mind, step by step.
How it all began…
I grew up in South East Asia between 1990 and 1998. These years shaped my adventurous spirit and gave me a love for natural alternatives and sustainability. By the time I reached my 30s, this passion had blossomed into a lifestyle. I lived off-grid, practising self-sufficiency, and writing articles about natural remedies, alternative medicines, and healthy eating. Life off-grid kept me naturally fit, and cycling along with basic exercises became part of my daily routine.
However, one year after returning to the UK in 2020, my health began to suffer. A work-from-home job and a strictly vegan diet left me feeling exhausted and unwell. By 2023, I was facing the symptoms of perimenopause, with irregular cycles and intense sciatic pain. Yoga became my first step back into fitness, helping ease the pain. However, it wasn’t until January 14, 2024, when I quit smoking after 32 years, that I truly committed to transforming my health.
Swimming became my first major milestone. When I first started, I couldn’t swim more than two lengths of a 25m pool without taking a break to recover for 20mins. But with persistence, I gradually built my endurance, and within 2 months of consistently swimming 3 times a week, I began to comfortably swim 32 lengths in under 25 mins. In August 2024, I became a certified lifeguard (NPLQ) at my local pool, marking a huge achievement for me.
In the summer of 2024, I discovered callisthenics and set my sights on improving my upper body strength. I couldn’t do a single chin-up when I started, but now, I can proudly do five! I sometimes go to the gym too, but I prefer to work out at home or the park.
My journey is ongoing, and I’m still learning and pushing myself every day. I’ve always been hippy-natured at heart, and now, I combine my love for natural living with a serious focus on fitness. I have just gained a Health and Nutrition Qualification, and this, combined with my coaching skills from previous employment, my goal is to help others.
Join me as we build strength, conquer new challenges, and thrive together—naturally. We’ll support each other every step of the way.
